Training for the future
Training is a long-term investment in the future. In terms of collective and interdisciplinary efforts, high priority is given to basic vocational training.
We are the biggest training organisation in the graphic design industry in the Swiss canton of Aargau, where we are currently training 15 apprentices in eight occupations and fields. We are extremely proud to be able to offer in-house training for all career paths along the value-added chain. Furthermore, the outstanding personal commitment of our vocational trainers to professional committees and boards of examiners helps to ensure the continued development of all career paths in line with current market demands.
Business administration assistant (EFZ)
Basic commercial training is an established practice across all sectors of industry and can therefore be applied to a wide range of fields following an apprenticeship. The focus of such training is on data processing, communications, preparing customer quotes, as well as processing orders and invoices.

Logistics specialist (EFZ/EBA)
Logistics specialists (EFZ) organise the storage and distribution of goods. With the aid of the appropriate IT systems, goods are booked in/out, clean storage is ensured, inventories are taken and deliveries are arranged. Instructions are also given on safety measures and the correct handling of various goods. Key tools such as computers and scanners ensure a smooth and simple workflow. The Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) is offered in three fields: warehousing, distribution and transport.

Mediamatician (EFZ)
Mediamaticians can be employed to carry out a number of different tasks within an organisation, regardless of industry sector. As all-rounders, the budding professionals design and maintain websites, create multimedia content (texts, images, films, music), support Marketing & Communications and manage projects. They are a central link between technicians and users.

Print supplier (EFZ)
Print suppliers are responsible for a brilliant result and bear great responsibility. They have to plan and coordinate a sequence of highly complex work steps and implement them in the right order.

Printing technician (EFZ), sheet-fed printing / media technology specialist (EFZ)
These trainees turn print data into something “tangible” on paper. They set up machinery, monitor printing and take the necessary measures in the event of a fault. As a result, they come into contact with machines of all types and sizes. In order to comply with order specifications, they learn how to use the latest technology – after all, printing is still an art.

Digital printing expert (EFZ)
Digital printing experts create and edit texts and images for various print and screen media. They can be found wherever printed materials or electronic publications are produced – and wherever there is a computer.

Print media processor (EFZ)
Print media processors are employed in the area of finishing, to turn the printed product into the ultimately desired form and make it usable for the customer. Their area of responsibility includes cutting, gluing, folding, binding and assembling printed products ready for distribution. Modern machinery and equipment complement traditional manual techniques.

Digital Business Developer (EFZ)
Digital business developers are professionals when it comes to digital solutions. With their understanding of business processes and the analysis of data, they help to optimise work steps and ICT products and make them fit for the future. In doing so, they are in constant exchange with specialists from a wide range of fields as well as in direct contact with customers.

Thanks to a Web shop, customers can find out the quantity of printed business material stock managed by Kromer Print AG and order the required amount. It concerns both ecological and economic aspects.” Certified security Like sustainability, data security has also been a topic of lively debate among the general public for quite some time now. Following a comprehensive assessment, Kromer Print AG gained ISO 27001 certification for its customers in November 2015 and is thus certified to protect sensitive data. The international standard ISO/IEC 27001 defines the requirements for implementing, operating and continually improving an information security management system. Environmental economy Information on Kromer Print AG’s total energy and material consumption is constantly collected and documented. By regularly optimising employee travel, company logistics and production machine capacities, completely recycling production materials and using recycled papers for print products, the company is able to optimally conserve all resources. Local carbon offsetting As a Swiss industrial company, Kromer Print AG offsets its domestic carbon consumption by supporting the Oberallmig Climate Protection Project, a project by Switzerland’s biggest forest owner aimed at optimising ecological forest management. Environmentally friendly new building In early summer 2017, the Kromer Group, including Kromer Print AG, moved into an additional, newly built production facility in the GEXI industrial park in Lenzburg. The Kromer building was designed and constructed according to the latest advances in production technology and sustainability, and environmental specifications. This has led to an increase in productivity, while construction measures and a heat-pump-based heating and air-conditioning system have improved energy efficiency. Holistic sustainability From a business perspective, sustainability should be viewed in a holistic sense. The basic philosophy of Kromer Print AG is deeply rooted and engrained within the company.
